MARCH 2025
Mitch and the team are safely in Kathmandu
Weeks of ultra runs down, and the struggle for Mitch has been real. Blisters, aching legs, and a brutal bout of food poisoning tested every ounce of the team's resilience. Powered by determination (and a giant bag of Monster Munch), the journey continued. The team visited a local orphanage, and Mitch was able to donate his bike to the local community, bringing heartwarming moments amidst the aches and pains. Hobbling, walking, and running through breathtaking landscapes Mitch has reached the India-Nepal border, with Everest now feeling tantalisingly close. Stunning campsites along the way made it all worth it, and after an exhausting final stretch, they have made it safely to Kathmandu! Now, a moment of rest before the next epic challenge... Everest awaits.
FEBRUARY 2025
Pushing past the 11,000km mark, Mitch's cycle from England to India is officially complete!
The journey through India began with chaotic roads, serene temples, tuk-tuks and elephants - every day an intense mix of beauty and exhaustion. Reaching the 10,000km milestone having travelled across 18 countries was a surreal moment, but things were only about to get tougher... Scorching temperatures, dodging rogue cows and monkeys, the team were given a moment of tranquility witnessing the Prayag Maha Kumbh Mela, a once in 144 year event - marking a full orbital revolution of Jupiter around the Sun. But there’s no rest yet. Mitch's next challenge looms: Travelling 900km to Nepal on foot, running a marathon a day from sea level to Kathmandu.
JANUARY 2025
Improvise, Adapt, Overcome
From cycling across Oman to attempting to hitchhike by boat to Pakistan, January was nothing short of an adventure. With more visa denials the Arabian Gulf crossing became an unexpected challenge. Pakistan delivered stunning landscapes, endless chai, and a few surprises, including getting heckled by the team's own driver, and navigating through Lahore’s foggy streets, with just 5-10 meters of visibility. Armed police escorts became the norm as Mitch powered past the 9,000km mark, shedding 7kg since his journey began, but gaining a heap of unforgettable experiences. Visa troubles kept things interesting, but the motto remained: improvise, adapt, overcome. Now, with 2,000km of India ahead and Mitch's front wheel (and helmet) left behind in Pakistan, the ride continues...
DECEMBER 2024
Over halfway: Cycling from Iraq to Oman
Body and brain fried from desert crossings, and strong headwinds, Mitch has had some luck and newfound barriers on this stretch of the journey. Iraq went into lockdown - leaving the team stuck for 48 hours in a tiny, windowless flat. Once free, they pedalled onto the Arabian peninsula (including Kuwait, Saudi Arabi, Dubai, and lastly Oman), meeting some fantastic locals along way. Christmas was seen in, in style. But now lies a new challenge: getting across the sea to Pakistan..
NOVEMBER 2024
Visa blockages, flat tyres, viscious stray dogs & road accidents
55-days into his LIMITLESS endurance challenge, Mitch has made it to the Turkey/Syria border. With his visa entry denied to Iran, Mitch and his team have had to re-route the next leg of the journey through Iraq. Interesting and uncertain times lie ahead as he cycles each day dawn till dusk - averaging 160km per day. With 45% of the entire journey complete, Mitch is determined to reach Everest.
OCTOBER 2024
Mitch has successfully crossed the English Channel
After a gruelling 18-hour swim through unpredictable waters, Mitch has reached the shores of Calais, marking the completion of the first leg in his extraordinary 12,000km triathlon challenge. Battling harsh currents, freezing temperatures, and relentless winds, Mitch defied the odds and pushed through where many others could not. Out of the 10 swimmers who set out to conquer the crossing, only 2 made it to their destination, with the majority forced to abandon their efforts due to dangerous weather conditions. Mitch’s determination and resilience have been nothing short of inspiring as he continues his journey, preparing now for the next daunting phase. His triumph is not just a personal victory but a testament to the power of perseverance in the face of adversity. With the Channel behind him, Mitch remains focused on the monumental tasks that lie ahead, proving that no goal is too far out of reach when you refuse to give up.
The next leg of his journey will take him across thousands of kilometers by bike and on foot, where the challenges will only grow more intense.

SEPTEMBER 2024
Mitch prepares to take on the first stage of his journey: Swimming the English Channel
In approximately 1-week, Mitch Hutchcraft will embark on Project Limitless. The first challenge he will face is swimming the English Channel - a 21-mile straight of water between England and France, known for its unpredictable conditions. Bad weather, high seas, and other factors will affect his start date. He will have a 5-day window of opportunity to get his expedition underway.
